I talked to the team at Stancliffe Hall about my outsourcing service, when they opened their doors as a Wedding Venue in March 2011. The hall is privately owned by Deborah & Brian, who have nurtured a dream to share their “beloved Stancliffe” with others. They have painstakingly renovated the former school over the last 10 years to the most magnificent house, with character in every corner & it is set in beautiful parkland.
I was thrilled then to be asked to help them manage their first two weddings, the first of which was to be the wedding celebrations for James & Laura.
Theirs is such a romantic story with James & his Father both being previous students of the school….they were even able to locate the original school bus that used to take Mr. Waters Snr to school every day & use it as their main transport, to & from the church.
Stancliffe weddings are about creating a whole experience, as you are able to hire the Hall exclusively for the duration of your stay. This normally includes the afternoon before, the day of the wedding & the following morning. For me this meant creating a plan that was bespoke to James & Laura’s requirements & ensuring that this captured every element of their stay including guest accommodation, all the catering requirements, room set-ups, entertainment liaison & a timing plan that spanned over 3 days … It was a pleasure to be a part of such a beautiful day.
